Prime2 Transfer Status

This page is used to keep track of the transfer from the MapRoad road schedules to OSI’s Prime2 dataset. An overview of this process is given below.

Summary Table

Column details:

• Old Length - this is the length of the MapRoad road schedule

• New Length - this is the length of the road schedule when transferred to Prime2

• New Length (Total) - this is the length of the road network - both registered and unregistered roads

• Segments - this is the total number of roads e.g. L-1000-0. A segment is made up of one or more edges

• Transfer Date - the date the road schedule was transferred on the live system

Manual Edits Summary

Every edge for each LA was manually reviewed, after an automated sorting process. Where possible a routing algorithm was used to transfer the data. There were many situations where this was not possible, which then required manually “fixing” the transfer using one of the below options:

• Update using Edges - old edge Ids were manually assigned to new edge Ids following a visual inspection

• Update using Nodes - old edges were transferred to new edges by manually setting the start and end nodes

• Not Transferred - these were cases where either the road seemed to be incorrectly digitised in MapRoad, or where the road was missing from the Prime2 dataset
