Road Schedule Overview

The Road Schedule module allows users to name roads, assign general attributes to roads, and to designate which parts of the road network are maintained by the local authority. Prior to the release of PMS 6.0 the Road Schedule was, for the most part, comprised of roadways alone, that is, the portion of a road which is provided primarily for the use of vehicles. As of the PMS 6.0 release, users are able to capture road infrastructure relating to active travel (ATI) that may or may not form part of the roadway. Active travel is defined as travelling with a purpose using your own energy. Generally this means walking (including all users of footpaths) or cycling as part of a purposeful journey (gov.ie).
