PMS 5.0.1 Release Notes¶
Released 26/02/2021
This is a patch release to resolve various UAT (user acceptance testing) issues arising following the release of PMS 5.0.
Enhancements Highlights¶
New “Latest PSCI Layer” with additional columns in the associated grid - see PSCI Ratings
Many new columns available in the Projects grid - see Projects Grid
New symbology for the Project Types theme, to make it more visible on the map
The Grid Select by Shape Tool tool now has a “Clear Feature” option
When a layer is filtered an icon will appear in the layer tree and the layer name will be displayed in bold
New validation checks for Projects. See Project Phases and Project Validation Tab
To progress to the “Scheduled” phase the “% Estimated” of funding sources must equal 100%
To progress to the “Complete” phase the “% Actual” of funding sources must equal 100%
If a Grid has no Surface Layer then red validation. Except when a Treatment Course selected on its own
If any other Treatment Course other than High Friction Surfacing is selected with another layer
Legacy Project Changes¶
Structural Overlay wrongly mapped as Surface Restoration - this has been corrected
Contractor names removed for all pre-2021 works from the works grid. These are still available on the ProjectsLegacyTab.
Any Projects created prior to PMS 5.0 don’t have a “Construction Method”, as this was impossible to know when converting Works to Projects. On the Project Works “Construction Method” is displayed as Unknown. In the 5.0 release this meant the calculated Intervention for the lane would have been None. This has the knock-on effect that the “Project Works Length”, “Project Average Works Width” and “Project Works Area” would all be displayed as 0, as no part of the Works had a valid Intervention. As of the 5.0.1 patch release any lane with a “Construction Method” of Unknown now also displays the Intervention as Unknown. These lane and section lengths are taken into account (for legacy records only) when displaying “Project Works Length” etc.
Key Bug Fixes¶
Various issues when using IE11 (Edge, Chrome, and FireFox are the preferred browsers as Microsoft will be dropping support for IE11). Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer 11 across its Microsoft 365 apps and services next year. In exactly a year, on August 17th, 2021, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported for Microsoft’s online services like Office 365, OneDrive, Outlook, and more. See this link for details.
Estimated Percentage was being displayed rather than Actual on the Roads Programme form for Completed Projects
Fix “All Project Report” URL link in the dashboard
