Welcome to the Pavement Management System¶

The aims of the project are assisting local authorities to:

Improve the condition and safety of the road network within the constraints of available funding.
Demonstrate the need for investment in the road network.
Demonstrate the value for money is delivered for the funding provided

The system is being designed to include the following functionality:

Show history of works carried out over recent years
Assign a condition rating to the entire network
Review and investigate costs associated with past, present and future road interventions
Incorporate survey data on the condition of the road network
Create a work programme for the coming year determining the sections of the road network that will be the focus of works improvement
Monitor that work programme from a financial and operational perspective
Provide tools to analyse the data stored against the asset register
Bring the information management system to a new audience within the local authority
Create new web systems for License Applications used by business/public
Integrate the information in the asset register with the Online Roadworks Control System
